Aleatha Wilson-Muhammad is a Financial Leader and Strategist. Currently, Aleatha primarily works with Business Owners and Medical Professionals and assists her clientele with integrated planning for improving cash flow, building wealth, as well as protecting their most important assets with risk management strategies. Aleatha has appeared on NBC, Fox News and 1390AM Talk Radio, discussing Wealth Building for Women and Closing the Racial Wealth Gap. She has been a guest speaker as well as moderator for countless financial workshops and money & power seminars for businesses and organizations including Chicago Medical School, Cook County Bar Association, American Academy of Ophthalmology, Black Greek Fraternities & Sororities, National Black MBA Association, NSBE, and HFS Scholarship Foundation, just to name a few. Most of all, she enjoys EMPOWERING WOMEN with comprehensive financial strategies that offer financial confidence.
Aleatha graduated from the University of Illinois-Urbana with her degree in Accountancy and began her career in public accounting at Ernst & Young, LLP in the Audit/Assurance Group. In order to have a more purposeful and hands-on approach with her clients, Aleatha earned her designation as a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and transitioned to the private sector as a Consultant. In her quest to offer even greater resources to her clients, she became a financial consultant with Northwestern Mutual and assisted a myriad of families and business owners with wealth building and cash management solutions. Aleatha is currently a Financial Consultant with Cetera Advisor Networks and runs a comprehensive insurance and risk management practice, Wilson Management and Consulting, LLC. Her goal is to always be a trusted financial consultant and resource to her clientele.
Aleatha’s dedication to the community has been a life-long commitment. Her commitment to Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, inspiring women in the service of sisterhood and community engagement is coupled with her long-standing mentoring of African-American women and girls in personal growth, spiritual development, and career paths.
A former Vice President of Academic Relations and former Board Member for the Chicago-West Chapter of the IIA, she enjoyed creating alliances with university / college business & accounting programs with aspiring college graduates for scholarships and internships.
Aleatha is devoted to teaching Financial Education through her platform, The Financial Architect®, a trusted source to educate and inspire Communities of Color about entrepreneurship and financial literacy that may ultimately improve their understanding, relationship and behavior with money and wealth. She has also served on several boards, including Garfield Park Community Council, Providence St. Mel Alumni Advisory Board and continues to volunteer with various community endeavors…being most proud of the current endeavors with the Mind of an Entrepreneur™, Sajdah House™ project and its contribution to the art, culture and historic preservation in Chicago, IL and nationwide.
